Why the Skunk Logo?

For many years I have loved skunks basically because no one loved them and they feared the smell. For some strange reason I love the smell of skunks! In fact there is a group of skunk lovers called the Deodorized Order of Skunk; a past client gave me a pin years ago and I still have it. When I went into nurses training in the late 50s a boyfriend at that time gave me two stuffed skunks to place on my bed in the dorm. Over the past 40 plus years my collection has grown considerably thanks to donations from clients. Recently a friend gave me an article about people that love skunks.

Unlike other predatory animals, skunk does not threaten your life but threatens your senses. Skunk is teaching you that by walking your talk and by respecting yourself, you will create a position of strength and honored reputation. There is no need to bully, aggravate, torment, or overpower other beings when your sense of “self” is intact. Skunk people learn how to handle energy flows and are able to help balance energy in others.
